Aaron Lowe has given the last 16 years of his life to ice dancing with partner Megan Wing. And, with their first trip to the Olympics in 2006 finally set, the rumors of their impending retirement could very well be true. Lowe, as well as Wing, both pursue Masters degrees at the University of Windsor and would therefore be kept quite busy if they indeed do hang up their skates.

In their first Canadian Championships back in 1990, the duo came in ninth place. It was a great starting point, but unfortunately the pair would level off, eventually getting stuck in the shadows of a couple of higher profile pairs -- Shae-Lynn Bourne and Victor Kratz, as well as Marie-France Dubreuil and Patrice Lauzon.

However, the duo has slowly emerged since the retirement of Bourne and Kratz. At January's Canadian Championships they finished second to Dubreuil and Lauzon, finally earning a spot on the Olympic team after 16 years in the sport.

After years of buzzing around the wrong end of the Top-10, recent solid results could indicate new respect for the veteran duo. A third-place finish at the 2005 Cup of China followed by a fourth-place finish at Skate America could point to a potentially great international result in Turin.

In his free time, Lowe likes to play golf, tennis and basketball.
